Our support for the Long Covid Foundation

At Zippit, it's all about sleeping better, breathing better and waking up fitter. But for hundreds of thousands of people in the Netherlands, this is not self-evident. It is estimated that more than 400,000 people struggle with chronic (fatigue) complaints due to, for example, Long Covid or ME/CFS.

I, Davy, founder of Zippit, founded Zippit in 2023, in the middle of my search for ways to feel fitter. I have been struggling with Long Covid symptoms since 2022.

Sleeping well and breathing better - through my nose, instead of my mouth - made a big difference for me.
When I noticed how much impact something as simple as mouth tape could have on my sleep and energy, I knew I wanted to do something with this. That's how Zippit was born. And so it makes sense to me now to give something back to others struggling with the same symptoms.

Why we donate

Zippit donates part of its profits to Stichting Long Covid (the Dutch Long Covid Foundation).

This organisation is dedicated to helping people with long-term illness after corona, with the aim of supporting, informing and standing up for their interests.
The foundation helps with:

  • Providing reliable information
  • Fellow sufferers contact and support
  • Stimulating scientific research
  • Representing interests towards the government and healthcare institutions

The need is high

Long Covid is an invisible but life-changing condition.
In the Netherlands alone, there are estimated to be more than 500,000 people with long-term Long Covid complaints. Some have been unable to work, play sports or even do normal everyday things for years.

Yet there is still little structural help or recognition.
Similar to other chronic diseases such as ME/CFS, Long Covid has great impact on quality of life - and on society as a whole.
